This area is celebrated for its abundant resident wildlife, including the “Big Five”—lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and buffalo. The Serengeti is believed to harbor the largest lion population in Africa, with over 3,000 individuals thriving in its ecosystem, thanks to a rich supply of prey.
As you traverse the vast plains, keep an eye out for the elusive leopards, often spotted lounging in acacia trees or walking along riverbanks. These solitary predators are known for their stealth and camouflage, making sightings a rare and rewarding experience.
Around midday, your guide will set up a picnic lunch in a scenic spot within the park. Enjoy a hot meal, including soup, bread rolls, a main dish, and fruit salad, accompanied by a choice of wine, tea, or coffee, all served in the heart of the wilderness.
