Day 1:Zanzibar to Kogatande Airstrip
Arrive at Kogatende Airstrip, where our expert guide will warmly welcome you. Embark on a full day of game drives in the Kogatende and Bologonja regions, focusing on the Great Migration. Currently, the herds are gathering along the Mara River, preparing for the dramatic crossing into the Masai Mara. This annual migration is a remarkable spectacle, with over two million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles traversing the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems in search of fresh grazing grounds.
Accommodations: Ang’ata Migration – Bologonja Camp

Day 2:Northern Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, embark on a game drive in the Northern Serengeti, a less-visited region nestled between the Central Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara. This remote area offers stunning landscapes and a chance to escape the crowds. The 800-kilometer wildebeest migration is the largest mammal migration on Earth, driven by the search for nutritious grasses. During the wet season, the short-grass plains provide safe calving grounds due to their visibility, but as the plains dry, the herds move westward in search of greener pastures. The northern extension of the ecosystem receives the highest rainfall, but the grasses are less nutritious.
Accommodation: Ang’ata Migration – Bologonja Camp

Day 3:Nothern Serengeti national Park
After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive in the northern Serengeti, focusing on witnessing the dramatic Mara River crossings—a highlight of the Great Migration. This area is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos. Additionally, expect to see wildebeests, zebras, cheetahs, hippos, and various antelope species.
The Great Migration is one of nature’s most spectacular events. Each year, over 1.5 million wildebeest, accompanied by zebras and gazelles, traverse the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem in search of fresh grazing and water. This journey follows a cyclical pattern influenced by seasonal rains. The northern Serengeti, particularly around the Mara River, is a prime location to witness these crossings, typically occurring between July and August.
Accommodation for the night is at Matawi Serengeti Camp, offering a comfortable and immersive experience in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in the Central Serengeti, a prime area for witnessing the Great Migration. From late July to mid-October, wildebeest and zebras traverse the Mara River, often encountering predators along the way. Our guides will position you at optimal viewing spots to observe these dramatic crossings and the surrounding wildlife. The terrain varies from expansive plains to kopjes, offering diverse wildlife experiences.
Following the game drive, you’ll be transferred to Farm of Dreams Lodge in Karatu, nestled on the western slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater. The lodge provides comfortable accommodations with en-suite bathrooms, private terraces, and lush garden views, ensuring a restful evening before your next adventure.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha Aiport
After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up for a full-day safari in the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. The crater is renowned for its high concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five—lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo. Additional species commonly spotted include wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, hyenas, jackals, hippos, and various antelope species. Notably, the crater hosts the densest lion population in the world and a significant number of black rhinos. However, giraffes are absent from the crater due to the steep terrain and lack of tall trees, which are essential for their feeding habits.
After an enriching day of wildlife viewing, you’ll be transferred to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar, where you can unwind on the island’s pristine beaches or explore its rich cultural heritage.
